I wanted to share a recent experience that I know will touch your hearts.  Many of you will know that Cambodia is a very poor country, dessimated by internal and external conflicts over many years.  Sadly some are so recent that all Cambodians my age will have experienced trauma of some sort.  There are hundreds, if not thousands of NGOs trying to help local people develop skill sets and businesses to support themselves and develop the local economy.  The background is complex.  I worked with a social enterprise managed by a Dutch friend here in Singapore and a Cambodian family in Phnom Penh.  You can see some of this work on my Facebook page www.facebook.com/lishophotography under an album called Trash to Treasure from 2016.  It shows beautiful jewellery made from recycled inner tubes.  The work is detailed and time consuming and all is done by hand.  I wanted to visit the ladies who do this work and so went with a friend who is also involved in the enterprise.  This is my first post about the visit and is simply showing the people involved in an enterprise called Rebicycle.  If you would like to know more, please get in touch at contact@lisho-photography.com.
